The Bauer Nexus 8000 LE Composite Stick, Right, stick is constructed using TeXtreme Technology, a Bauer-exclusive, ultra-lightweight and strong carbon fiber. Sticks are 20% lighter than conventional carbon, while the reduced weight doesn’t sacrifice strength. With the help of Monocomp technology, the industry-leading single molding process, each product and performance consistency is ensured. By removing excess material like overlapping layers, resin and foam waste, the balance of the stick is improved and overall weight is reduced. Intermediate Nexus 8000 sticks utilize eLASTech Technology, a proprietary resin system with carbon nanotube reinforcements, to increase durability by reducing the spread of micro-fractures caused by slashes and puck impacts. This can extend a stick’s pop life to keep it feeling newer for a longer period of time. Engineered to provide a natural release, the Nexus 8000’s TRU Mid-Kick flex profile has softer handle and hosel areas to allow for more flexion and, when combined with a stiff middle shaft section, deliver a quick, natural release with power. And the stick’s shaft—the Nexus Power Shaft—features a square, double concave taper and is thicker in the hosel area to work in coordination with the Nexus TRU Mid-Kick. This helps to minimize deflection during powerful shots, optimizing energy transfer and keeping the blade aligned for accuracy. The Nexus Power Taper is a .520 taper that boosts torsional stiffness to maximize loading with less torquing and twisting for better control and precision. This blade’s Power Sense Core is an energy-absorbent core that maximizes power and puck ‘feel’ while the lightweight Aero Foam 3 heel improves balance and core stability. Sense technology has been added for increased puck control and shot acceleration. A Pure Shot blade profile increases the connection point between the blade-hosel transition of the stick.
